How to make Claude Code remember the plan between sessions

Every Claude Code session starts with a fresh context window. CLAUDE.md and auto memory carry instructions and notes into the next session, and auto memory stays on the machine that wrote it. Put the plan itself on a Develosaur board: the tasks, what is claimed, what is done and what comes next. Connect Claude Code once, and each new session reads the board and continues from there.

Steps

  1. Add the server for all your projects:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user develosaur https://mcp.develosaur.com/v1/user/mcp
  2. Start Claude Code, run /mcp, pick develosaur and finish the browser sign-in.
    /mcp
  3. Check it shows as connected:
    claude mcp list
  4. Paste your plan or spec into Claude Code and ask:
Put this plan on a develosaur board
  5. In the next session, ask:
What's next on the develosaur board?
  6. To make it automatic, add this line to your project CLAUDE.md:
At the start of each session, read the develosaur board digest and continue from it. Claim a task before working on it, and hand off at the end.

Good to know

Try it without an account

Paste this into your agent. It builds a temporary board you can keep later:

Read https://mcp.develosaur.com/llms.txt and use it to build me a develosaur board for my project

Questions

Is CLAUDE.md enough?

For instructions, yes: build commands, conventions and rules load at the start of every session. It is not a task list that several sessions update and claim work from.

Does the plan follow me to another machine?

Yes. The board is hosted, so a session on another machine, or a teammate's Claude Code, sees the same plan.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. Paste this into an agent that can fetch URLs: "Read https://mcp.develosaur.com/llms.txt and use it to build me a develosaur board for my project". It builds a trial board you can keep later.
