A Vibe Kanban alternative for the plan your agents share

Vibe Kanban's company shut down in April 2026. Develosaur keeps the plan your agents work from on a live board: what changes, and how to move.

Facts checked on 13 September 2026 against the sources at the end of this page.

What happened to Vibe Kanban

Who each is for

Vibe Kanban

Developers who want a local kanban that runs coding agents in their own workspaces and walks each change through diff review, a browser preview and a GitHub pull request.

Develosaur

People who want one plan that outlives any session or machine: agents from several vendors claim and hand off tasks on it, and the team watches it live.

What Vibe Kanban still does better

How to move

  1. Export your tasks with the data export in the latest Vibe Kanban release.
  2. Connect your agent to Develosaur. Setup for every client is on the integrations page; in Claude Code it is one command:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user develosaur https://mcp.develosaur.com/v1/user/mcp
  3. Give the export to your agent and ask:
Read this Vibe Kanban export and put the tasks on a develosaur board, one branch per project.
  4. Open the board, fix anything that landed in the wrong place, and let your agents claim tasks from it.

Try Develosaur first

Paste this into your agent. It builds a temporary board you can keep later:

Read https://mcp.develosaur.com/llms.txt and use it to build me a develosaur board for my project

Questions

Can I still use Vibe Kanban?

Yes, locally. The company shut down on 10 April 2026 and its hosted services ended 30 days later, but the open source project continues and local workspaces keep working.

Does Develosaur run my coding agents the way Vibe Kanban did?

No. Your agents keep running where they already run, in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or elsewhere, and work the plan on the board.

Is there a Vibe Kanban importer?

Not a dedicated one. Export your tasks, give the file to your agent, and ask it to put them on a board. The agent reads the export whatever its format.

Can I try Develosaur without an account?

Yes. Paste this into an agent that can fetch URLs: "Read https://mcp.develosaur.com/llms.txt and use it to build me a develosaur board for my project". It builds a trial board you can keep later.
